Born and raised in Russia, Mr. Andrey joined the Bolshoi Theatre in 1979 as principal dancer and soloist. He worked with many world class dancers, including Yuri Grigorovich, Marina Semenova, Galina Ulanova, Michael Lavrovsky, Shamil Yagudin, and Vladimir Vasiliev. With the Bolshoi Ballet, he performed The Nutcracker, La Bayadère, Raymonda, Spartacus, Golden Age, The Legend of Love and more.

These performances took Mr. Andrey to the United States, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Great Britain, Brazil, France, Mexico, Austria, Japan, China, Korea, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Holland. Between 1995 and 1997 he served as an assistant choreographer to Yuri Grigorovich, the Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Mr. Andrey was selected to represent the Bolshoi Ballet in the International Ballet Competition. Mr. Andrey has been teaching at High Definition Dance since it opened in 2011. He runs a structured class and gives nothing but his absolute best to his dancers. Mr. Andrey has trained many ballerinas who have competed at The Youth American Grand Prix, a very prestigious world ballet competition. Many of those dancers made it to the finals.
